Use the new glass and frame assembly to check for interference. Grind off part of the steel frame on the machine to allow for the installation of the new window and frame assembly. Refer to Illustration 11 and Illustration 12.

Once satisfied that the assembly will fit properly, place the window assembly on the table with the OUTSIDE FACING DOWN.

Clean the frame area around the glass using 50:50 isopropyl alcohol and a dry cloth. Apply a uniform coat of Sika Activator UH-2 LUM to the frame area around the glass.Note: Allow the activator to dry for a minimum of 15 minutes but no longer than 2 hours.

While the activator is drying, install wiper motor (1) using bolts (H) that were retained from disassembly. Connect connector (J) to the wiring harness.

Install covers (C), (D), (E), and (F) using screws that were removed earlier. Lift the floor mat if necessary to install all of the screws. Screw (G) is a longer screw.

Place eight buttons on the cab frame

Apply eight buttons (5) to the cab as shown. The buttons have pressure sensitive adhesive applied to one side. Buttons are used to set the spacing for the Sika 255 FC Adhesive.
Prepare the areas where the glass and frame window assembly will be bonded to the cab. This preparation is accomplished by wiping the metal down with a solution of 50:50 isopropyl alcohol. This process will remove all contaminants. Apply a uniform coat of Sika Activator UH-2 LUM to the area that was cleaned.Note: Allow the activator to dry for a minimum of 15 minutes but no longer than two hours.

(A) 10 mm (0.4 inch) V-groove
Cut a 10 mm (0.4 inch) V-groove in the tip of the tube of Sika 255 FC Adhesive, to provide an even application of adhesive. Note: One cab will use approximately two tubes of Sika 255 FC Adhesive.
Apply 12 mm (0.5 inch) wide by 16 mm (0.62 inch) high triangular bead of Sika 255 FC Adhesive around the outside of the glass and frame assembly. Maintain a distance of 19 mm (0.75 inch) from the edge of the frame.
Install the frame and glass assembly into the front window location immediately after applying the adhesive. Set the window assembly on the two 6.4 mm (0.25 inch) spacers (14). Refer to Illustration 10. Then firmly press the window assembly into place.
