This Program must be administered either before or after failure.In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS42650" as the Part Numberand "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code.If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

PROBLEM
The incorrect camshaft may have been installed on certain C15 engines. If the installed camshaft is incorrect, no damage will occur but the engine will exhibit performance issues.

Rework Procedure
Refer to appropriate Service Manual as necessary.
1.) Remove rear cam cover and inspect camshaft part number for 260-1890 in location shown in Image 1.1.1. If rear cam cover is not accessible, proceed to Step 4.

2.) If part number on camshaft is 260-1890, no further work is required.
3.) If part number on camshaft is 139-0538 then camshaft is incorrect and must be replaced with correct 260-1890 camshaft.
4.) If rear cam cover is not accessible then remove valve cover and look for a stamped "J" around the cast journal material that is between the exhaust lobe for cylinder #3 and the camshaft bearing journal. If a cast "J" is not visible in this location no further work needs to be done. Refer to Image 1.2.1.
If a "J" is cast in the material in this location then the camshaft is the incorrect camshaft and should be replaced with correct 260-1890 Camshaft.
