At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. Remove the breather filter cap only when the engine is stopped and the breather filler cap is cool enough to touch. Slowly loosen the breather filter cap to release any pressure in the hydraulic tank. Be cautious of hot oil when any lines are disconnected in the hydraulic system.
During all the Disassembly and Assembly procedures use the following reference materials. The Guidelines For Reusable Parts is to be used when inspecting components for wear limits. Also use the Index of the publication for Reusable or Salvage of Used Parts (SEBF8029) to determine which of these publication to use.
To prevent possible bodily injury, make sure hot hydraulic oil has cooled and all pressure is released from the hydraulic system.
1. Turn the disconnect switch to the OFF position. 2. Disconnect electrical connector (1). 3. Remove line (2). Cap and plug immediately. 4. Remove two lines (3) at the bottom of the pump. Cap and plug immediately. 5. Remove two bolts (4).6. Remove vibratory pump and O-ring. Inspect and replace mounting O-ring if necessary. Start By:Remove vibratory pump. 1. Remove nut (1) and coil (2). 2. Remove stud (3) and remove O-ring seals (4). Mark pump sections to aid in assembly.3. Remove four bolts (5) and cover (6). Identify position of seals and back-up seals to aid in assembly.4. Remove O-ring (7), back-up seal (8) and seal (9). 5. Remove two bushings (10). 6. Remove two gears (11). 7. Remove cover (12). 8. Remove O-ring (13), back-up seal (14) and seal (15). 9. Remove two bushings (16). 10. Remove snap ring (17) and seal (18). 11. Remove plug (19). 12. Remove O-ring (20), spring (21) and spool (22). 13. Inspect gears (11) for wear. The following steps are for the assembly of the vibratory pump. All pump components must be cleaned and inspected before assembly. If any components are worn beyond recommended limits they must be replaced. Lubricate all moving parts with clean oil during assembly. Assemble pump with all new seals. 14. Install spool (22) and spring (21).15. Install O-ring (20) on plug (19). 16. Install plug (19). 17. Install seal (18) with the lip towards the inside of the pump. Install snap ring (17). 18. Install two bushings (16). 19. Install seal (15), back-up seal (14) and O-ring (13). 20. Install cover (12) on body. 21. Install two gears (11). 22. Install two bushings (10). 23. Install seal (9), back-up seal (8) and O-ring (7). 24. Install cover (6) and four bolts (5). Tighten the bolts to a torque of ... 46 to 51 N m (34 to 38 lb ft).25. Install O-ring (4) and stud (3). 26. Install coil (2) and nut (1).End By:Install vibratory pump.
