Cat HYDO Advanced 10 Oil Change Interval
The standard Cat HYDO Advanced 10 oil change interval is every 3000 service hours or 18 months.A 6000 service hour or 3 year maintenance interval for hydraulic oil (change) is available. The extended interval requires S O S monitoring of the hydraulic oil. The interval for S O S monitoring is every 500 hours. The maintenance interval for the hydraulic oil filter is not changed.Procedure to Change the Hydraulic Oil
Note: Make sure that you use clean hydraulic oil. Clean hydraulic oil will extend component life. Clean hydraulic oil will make sure that the machine performance is maximum.
Open the left side of the engine compartment.

Remove drain plug (3) and drain the hydraulic oil into a suitable container.
Allow the oil to completely drain then reinstall drain plug (3). Dispose of the used oil according to local regulations.
Change the hydraulic oil filter.
Remove the hydraulic oil filler cap (1).
Wash the hydraulic cap in a clean, nonflammable solvent.
Fill the hydraulic tank with clean, filtered hydraulic oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Capacities (Refill)" for the capacity of the hydraulic tank.
Install the cap for the hydraulic oil tank.
Start the engine and cycle the steering and work tools.
Stop the engine. Do not run the engine until the oil is hot. If the oil is hot, the level could be read incorrectly.
Check the hydraulic oil level. The oil level should be within sight gauge (2). If necessary, add oil.Note: The oil level should be in the center of sight gauge (2) when the oil is cool.
