Removal Procedure
Start By:
Separate the track. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Track - Separate".

Remove bolts (1) and cover (2) from the track roller frame.

Remove bolts (3), shims (4), and plate assembly (5).

Remove bolts (6) that hold idler (7) to the yoke.

Attach a suitable lifting device to idler (7). Slide the idler forward and remove the idler from the track roller frame. The weight of the idler is 102 kg (225 lb). Note: Refer to Undercarriage Reconditioning Guide, SEBF8599 for the correct procedure to disassemble the idler and for the correct procedure to assemble the idler.
