Disconnect harness assemblies (2) .
Remove speed/timing sensors (1) .
Remove the O-ring seals from speed/timing sensors (1) .Installation Procedure

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Note: The speed/timing sensors must be replaced as a pair.

Install new O-ring seals on speed/timing sensors (1) .
Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seals prior to installation.
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of speed/timing sensors (1). Position speed/timing sensors (1) on the front housing.
Tighten the speed/timing sensors to a torque of 40 5 N m (30 4 lb ft).
Connect harness assemblies (2) .
Calibrate the speed/timing sensors. Refer to Troubleshooting, "Engine Speed/Timing Sensor - Calibrate".
