PROBLEM
The existing dust seal can fail on certain 313D2 Excavators. If the existing dust seal fails, it can cause grease leakage.

Note: 7 KG Cat 3Moly Grease is allowed for claim.
Note: $630 US Dollars is allowed for crane cost if the Rework Procedure is completed in the field.

Rework Procedure
Rework Procedure:
1. Position the machine on level ground. The ground must support the weight of the machine.
2. Remove the undercarriage frame from machine. Refer to UENR7323, Disassembly and Assembly, "Undercarriage Frame - Remove".
3. Remove inner dust seal (A) and outer dust seal (B) from the swing bearing races. Refer to Image1.1.1 for the location of the both dust seals.
4. Clean the sealing grooves of the inner race and the outer race with a fine grit sandpaper. Use a cleaning solvent to clean the seal grooves. Ensure that the seal grooves are thoroughly clean and dry prior to installing new dust seals (A) and (B).
5. Install new seals (A) and (B) into the inner bearing race and the outer bearing race. Refer to M0082998, Service Magazine, "Installation of the Correct Dust Seal in the Swing Gear and Bearing".
6. Apply 6.6kg 3Moly grease into the swing gear and bearing.
7. Reinstall the undercarriage frame to restore the machine. Refer to UENR7323, Disassembly and Assembly, "Undercarriage Frame - Install".
