Remove the cab.
Remove the air cleaner.
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure.Hot oil and components can cause personal injury. Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.Before installation or removal of any hydraulic test equipment, relieve the pressure in the hydraulic tank by slowly loosening the filler cap.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Drain the hydraulic oil. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic System Oil - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Raise hood (1) by activating switch (2). Turn battery disconnect switch (3) to the OFF position.

Remove clips (7) and reposition . Disconnect hose assemblies (5) and (6) from hydraulic tank (4).

Disconnect harness assemblies (8).
Disconnect hose assemblies (9), (10), (12), (13), and (14).
Disconnect all clips (11).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to hydraulic tank (4). The weight of hydraulic tank (4) is approximately 210 kg (463 lb). Remove bolts (15) and hydraulic tank (4).Installation Procedure
Install hydraulic tank (21) in the reverse order of removal.
