Park the machine on a smooth, level surface. Lower the bucket to the ground.

Remove nine bolts (1). Remove former cover (2). Remove the covers from both sides of the machine.
Weld the bolt holes in the hinge plate of the bucket which are no longer used. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS0315, "Procedure to Repair Cracks on the Bucket" for instruction on welding the unused bolt holes.
Install the new covers. Use the 196-2393 Cover As on the left side of the machine. Use the 196-2239 Cover As on the right side of the machine. Install the covers with one of the original bolts on each side.
