In case of former boom is supplied:

(A) Support block
Replace the boom assembly with the new one.
Apply additional welding on the support blocks (A). Refer to Illustration 8 for the welding.

(W1) 5.0 mm (0.12 inch) fillet weld on both sides
(W2) 5.0 mm (0.12 inch) X 8.0 mm (0.31 inch) fillet weld on both sides
Fill the gap with weld as shown in the Illustration 9.

(G) 5.0 mm (0.12 inch) minimum
Add grinding on the weld toe. The grinding portion (G) should be minimum of 5.0 mm (0.12 inch).For case 2 and case 3:
In case of improved boom is supplied:Replace the boom assembly with the new one. When replacing the existing boom and bearing assembly, replace the following parts on the boom nose at the same time.
