Install clip (33) and bolt (32) .
Install O-ring seal (31) .

Install differential lock assembly (30). Reference: Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Differential Lock - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
Install flange (28) onto the differential housing.
Install two bolts (29) into flange (28) .

Use a press, Tooling (A), and a suitable tube to install bearing cone (20) onto cage (20) .

Install shim (25) and gear (26) onto cage (20) .Note: The grooves in shim (25) face toward gear (26) .

Install four pinion gears (23) and four washers (22) onto spider (24) .

Install pinion gear assemblies (21) onto cage (20) .

Install coupling sleeve (16), retaining ring (17), shim (18), and gear (19) onto cage (14) .Note: The grooves in shim (18) face toward gear (19) .
Install retaining ring (15) .

Install cage (14) .
Install twelve bolts (13). Tighten bolts (13) to a torque of 115 + 10 - 0 N m (85 + 7 - 0 lb ft).

Use a press, Tooling (A), and a suitable tube to install bearing cone (12) .

Install bevel gear (11) .
Install sixteen bolts (10) and washers onto bevel gear (11). Tighten bolts (10) to a torque of 290 + 10 - 0 N m (210 + 7 - 0 lb ft).

Install differential cage assembly (9). The weight of the differential cage assembly is 41 kg (90 lb).

Install O-ring seal (7) .
Install bearing cup (8) .

Install adjusting nut (4) .
Install clip (6) and bolt (5) .
Install flange (3) onto the differential housing.
Install two bolts (3) onto flange (2) .
Install O-ring seal (1) .
Test the differential backlash. Also, check the contact pattern between the pinion and bevel gear. Reference: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, RENR3028, "554 Forwarder and 574 Forwarder Power Train", "Differential Backlash and Bearings - Adjust" for the machine that is being serviced.End By: Install the differential onto the axle. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Differential to Left Brake - Connect" and Disassembly and Assembly, "Right Brake to Differential - Connect".
