1 1 336-7595 Exhaust Manifold Before you apply sealant, the male end and the female end of the exhaust manifold must be free from the following substance: dirt, rust, grease, and oil. Apply a thin coat of 3M sealer EC - 1137 to the outside diameter and inside diameter of the exhaust manifolds. Remove excess sealer from the assembled joint.

4 12 106-1792 Taperlock Stud Torque to 35 5 N m (26 4 lb ft).
5 12 2N-2766 Locknut Apply Loctite C5A copper anti-seize to the threads and to the bearing surfaces.
Tighten the locknuts in the numerical sequence that is shown in Illustration 3 to 20 3 N m (177 27 lb in).
Again tighten the locknuts in the numerical sequence that is shown in Illustration 3 to 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft)
