Remove tube assembly (7). Remove tube assembly (8). Remove bracket (9).

Disconnect grease hose assembly (9).

Remove cover (12). Disconnect hose assembly (11). Remove bolts (10). Remove plates (13).Note: Note the quantity of plates (13) for installation purposes.

Disconnect harness assembly (14).

Disconnect fitting (15). Disconnect hose assembly (16). Disconnect bracket (17).

Remove bolts (18), (19), (20), (21).Note: Do not remove the top or the bottom bolts from either side of the suspension cylinder.Note: Bolts (18), (19), (20), (21), and the nuts are not reusable. Discard the bolts and the nuts.

Install Tooling (B) onto front wheel, brake, and suspension cylinder (22). Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1093, "270-8312 Strut Handler". The weight of front wheel, brake, and suspension cylinder (22) is approximately 5939 kg (13093 lb).Note: Ensure that the retaining chain is fastened securely around suspension cylinder.

Remove bolts (23). Remove bolts (24).Note: Bolts (23), (24), and the nuts are not reusable. Discard the bolts and the nuts.

Use Tooling (B) to remove front wheel, brake, and suspension cylinder (22).

Use Tooling (B) to install front wheel, brake, and suspension cylinder (22) onto Tooling (D).
Remove Tooling (B).

Use a suitable lifting device to remove bearing cap (26). The weight of bearing cap (26) is approximately 59 kg (130 lb). Remove retaining ring (27) and bearing (28).
