Fuses on instrument panelAll fuses are 10 amperes. (1) Horn (2) Engine preheater (3) Turn signal (if equipped) (4) Key switch (5) Parking brake (6) Pressurized spray system for tires (if equipped) (7) GaugesThe fuses are located on the top of the instrument panel. The above list identifies the circuits that are protected by each fuse.
Fuses - Fuses protect the electrical system from damage that is caused by overloaded circuits. Change a fuse if the element separates. If the element of a new fuse separates, check the circuit and/or repair the circuit.
Always replace fuses with the same type and capacity fuse that was removed. Otherwise, electrical damage could result.
If it is necessary to replace fuses frequently, an electrical problem may exist.Contact your Caterpillar dealer.
To replace a fuse, pull the fuse in the instrument panel. Replace the fuse with a new fuse in the instrument panel.
