( 4XF ) Generator Set EnginesDescription of Change: An improved water lines group is used on the 3516 Generator Set Engines. A additional clamp has been added to the group to provide better support of the water line during operation.Adaptable To: The additional clamp set is in effect with 3516 Generator Set Engine 4XF272. The new clamp set is adaptable to earlier generator set engines. The components needed to update earlier engines are listed in the chart. To install the new clamp set, move the existing clamp set, on the engine, rearward as far as possible to provide tube support where the tube enters the 9Y2084 Tee. Add the additional clamp set, specified in the chart, as far forward as possible on the engine to provide support where the tube enters the 7C9979 Elbow. This position is where the tube makes a bend toward the centerline of the engine, but before it bends downward toward the elbow.
