(15) Brake accumulator charging valve The hydraulic fan system is supplied by the gear pump for brake, charge, fan located on the pump stack. The braking system has priority over the hydraulic fan system. When the engine is started, hydraulic oil is drawn from tank (14) by the gear pump (7). Hydraulic oil flows from pump (7) to priority valve (6). Then, the hydraulic oil flows through priority valve to the right side of the priority valve through brake accumulator charging valve (15). Pilot oil flows to the left side of the priority valve. When the pilot pressure overcomes the spring pressure, the priority valve shifts to the right. Oil flows to the left side of the priority valve. Oil flows to the fan system and the brake system. The hydraulic oil and the spring pressure counter the pressure of the pilot oil that flows to the left side of the priority valve. The priority valve is held to the left as the accumulators charge. The machine can be equipped with a reversing fan. The cooling capacity of the machine is diminished when any of the following components are obstructed with debris:
The radiator
The hydraulic oil cooler
The transmission oil cooler
The screens in the enclosure doorsThe reversing fan allows the debris to be removed without turning off the machine.

(16) Reversing fan switch If the reversing fan switch (16) is momentarily depressed, the fan will be reversed for approximately 10 seconds. The keypad module (1) sends a signal to the ECM (3) through the CAN data link (2). The fan will be reversed after a delay of approximately 5 seconds. The fan will slow down when the direction of the fan is reversed in order to prevent mechanical damage to the fan system. The fan will return to the normal direction after 10 seconds.

(17) Secondary Display If the Secondary Display (17) is installed, a 3 second gray banner will display indicating the Reversing Fan mode. The operation of reversing fan (9) is identical to the operation of standard fan except for fan reversing valve (11) and relief valve (12). When relief valve (12) senses high pressure on one side of the hydraulic fan motor, the valve opens. The valve relieves pressure to the opposite side of the hydraulic fan motor. When fan reversing valve (11) is shifted, the flow of the oil through the hydraulic fan motor is reversed. The hydraulic fan motor will turn in the opposite direction. The ECM will slow down the hydraulic fan motor prior to reversing the hydraulic fan motor in order to prevent mechanical damage.
