Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) Start By:
Remove the nitrogen oxide sensor.
Remove the exhaust elbow.
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Disconnect harness assembly (1). Remove tie straps (3) and disconnect hose assembly (2).

Remove bolts (6) and bracket (4). Position wiring harness assembly (5) aside.

Loosen clamp (7) and remove hose (8). Disconnect hose assemblies (9).

Attach a suitable lifting device to clean emissions module (11). The weight of the clean emissions module is approximately 249 kg (550 lb). Remove bolts (10) and clean emissions module (11).

Remove 15 bolts (12) and frame (13).Installation Procedure
Install clean emissions module (11) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seal for the diesel exhaust fluid line (not shown).
