start by:a) remove oil pan plateb) remove timing gears and platec) remove flywheel housingd) remove camshaft 1. Remove the camshaft bearings with tooling (A).Install Camshaft Bearings
1. Use tool (A) to install the camshaft bearings in the cylinder block. 2. Install the front bearing (the bearing with two oil holes) in the cylinder block with the bearing oil hole in alignment with the oil hole in a horizontal position and with the bearing joint at the top. The bearing joint angle must be within 15° from vertical position (X). Install the front bearing until the front edge of the bearing is inside the cylinder block a distance of 1.5 0.5 mm (.06 .020 in.). 3. Install the remainder of the bearings with the bearing oil hole in alignment with the oil hole in the cylinder block.
