Solution:
Miscellaneous:For installation of the "new" inner and outer disc in case of damage resp. after maintenance work at the axle we recommend you the following: I. Replace Inner discsThe"new" inner discs must be installed per axle, because of the changed friction value. Maintenance information:After conversion the wear of the brake linings at the wet multi-disc brake should be controlled resp. checked as follows:- at least once a year- or at changed braking behaviour e.g.- brake noises- changed deceleration- changed brake oil level- changed brake pressure II. Replace Outer discs*The installation of the "new" undulated outer discs must be carried out in sets per axle.*The installation of the "new" outer disc is permitted only together with the "new" inner discs. Installation information:As a rule, outer discs with a thickness of 2.5 mm are used for the determination of the disc clearance (piston stroke). If the required disc clearance is not achieved, this must be corrected with one or more outer discs with a thickness of 2.0 mm and/or 3.0 mm. In this case the thinner outer disc must be installed piston and end shim-sided (improved heat dissipation). If there are any questions please contact:EDC Product Support Team
