Information:

Introduction
This Special Instruction has been created in order to establish the procedure for installing the in-line check valve into the inlet hose of the air compressor. This check valve will greatly reduce the amount of engine oil that is passed through the vehicle's air system by the air compressor.Installation Procedure
Locate the inlet hose to the air compressor. This hose runs over the top of the valve mechanism cover at the front of the engine.

Remove bolt (3) that secures the hose with clip (2) .
Cut inlet hose (1) at approximately two inches to the left of bracket (6). Refer to Illustration 2.

(4) 340-5702 Check Valve (5) 8T-1117 Hose Clamps (6) Bracket
Install hose clamps (5) and check valve (4). Refer to Illustration 2.Note: Ensure that the arrow on the in-line check valve is pointing in the direction of flow.
Tighten hose clamps (5) to standard torque.
Reinstall bolt (3) through clip (2) and tighten to standard torque.
