MOTOR GP-WIPER 1444149 - Caterpillar

1. Open the engine compartment hood and doors.2. Remove two bolts and washers. Open the left access panel door.3. Drain the coolant from the engine below the level of the water temperature regulator into a suitable container.4. Disconnect the upper radiator hose (previously removed).
Turbocharger outlet hose removed only for photographic purposes.5. Remove two bolts and elbow (2). Remove the gasket and O-ring seal from the elbow. Check the O-ring seal and gasket for wear or damage. Replace if necessary.6. Disconnect turbocharger water line (1) from the cover assembly.7. Remove three bolts (3) that hold the water temperature regulator housing (4) to cylinder head assembly (5). 8. Remove water temperature regulator (6) from the housing. Remove gasket, replace if necessary. Remove the lip-type seal from the housing. Use Tool (A) to install the seal into the housing if removed. Install the lip-type seal with the lip of the seal away from the regulator. For installation of the water temperature regulator, reverse the removal steps.9. Fill the cooling system to the correct coolant level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual.
