Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Check the gasket between the auxiliary pump and the front housing. Replace the old gasket with a new gasket if the old gasket is damaged or worn.

Attach a suitable lifting device to the auxiliary pump (7). The weight of the auxiliary pump is 16 kg (35 lb).
Install the auxiliary pump (7) .
Install the bolts and washers (6) .

Connect the hose (5) .
Tighten two clamps (4) .
Install the nut and washer (3) .
Tighten clamp (2) .
Connect hose (1) .
Fill the cooling system to the correct level. See the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedure.
