Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

Install O-ring seal (16) and seal (15) to cylinder assembly (3) .

Install O-ring seal (14) and felt wiper seal (13) to piston assembly (12) .

Use a press to install piston assembly (12) to cylinder assembly (3) .

Install pushrod (6) to cylinder assembly (3) . Install flange nut (11) , nut (10) and spacer sleeve (9) to pushrod (6) .

Install dust boot (8) , nut (5) and yoke rod end (7) to pushrod (6) .

Install spring (4) to cylinder assembly (3) . Install cover (1) to spring (4) .
Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.

Use Tool (A) and a press in order to press down on cover (1) . Install eight bolts (2) to cylinder assembly (3) .End By: Install the parking brake actuator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Parking Brake Actuator - Install". The information is in this manual.
