Information:

start by: a) remove fuel injection valvesb) remove cylinder head assembly 1. Put pressure on valve spring (1) with tool (A) until locks (2) can be removed. New heads have inner and outer springs.2. Remove tool (A), retainer, spring, valve and rotator. If the old valves are used again, put identification on them to prevent mixing at assembly. 3. Check the spring force with tool (B). The spring force must be 85 4 lb. (38.56 1.81 kg) when the length of the spring is 2.219 in. (56.36 mm).4. Do Steps 1 through 3 in order to remove the other valves from the cylinder head assembly.Install Valves
1. Put clean engine oil on the stem of the valve. Install the valve, rotator, spring and retainer in the cylinder head. 2. Put pressure on the valve spring or springs with tool (A) until locks (1) can be installed on the valves. The thick end of the lock goes toward the top of the cylinder head.
The locks can be thrown from the valve when the pressure is released from the spring. Make sure the locks are in the correct position on the stem of the valve before tool (A) is removed.
3. Remove tool (A). Hit valve (2) with a soft faced hammer to make sure the locks are installed correctly.4. Do Steps 1 through 3 to install the other valves in the cylinder head assembly.end by: a) install cylinder head assemblyb) install fuel injection valves
