(20) 321-8629 Elbow
Apply 5P-3413 Pipe Sealant to the threads of 321-8629 Elbow (20). Install elbow (20) into the engine drain valve on the engine oil pan.
Apply 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound to 7J-9108 O-Ring Seal (21) .
Install O-ring seal (21) onto elbow (20) .

Route hose assembly (B) through the firewall panel. Refer to Illustration 22.If the serial number prefix for your machine is listed in Table 8, drilling a hole through the firewall panel will be necessary in order to install a union assembly for connecting hose assembly (B) and hose assembly (C). Refer to Illustration 4. If a hole needs to be drilled through the firewall panel, proceed to the next step. Otherwise, proceed to Step 11.

Refer to Illustration 23 for the dimensions and the location of the hole. Mark the hole location.Note: All dimensions are relative to the firewall panel edges, and not the compartment boundaries.
Drill hole (D) in the firewall panel at the marked hole location.
Install 169-7409 Union As (37) into hole (D). Secure the union assembly by using one 6V-9170 Bulkhead Nut (36) .
Connect one end of hose assembly (C) to 169-7409 Union As (37). Refer to Illustration 4.
Connect one end of hose assembly (B) to the other end of 169-7409 Union As (37). Refer to Illustration 4.

Connect hose assembly (B) to connector assembly (19a) or elbow assembly (19b) or elbow assembly (19c) .

Typical Example
Secure hose assembly (B) and/or hose assembly (C) on both sides of the firewall panel with 305-2124 Cable Straps (24) .

Remove the two existing bolts and existing washers from the engine oil pan (indicated by the arrows) as shown in Illustration 27.
Place one 9X-2332 Clip (29) around hose assembly (B) or hose assembly (C). Secure the clip to one 322-8604 Bracket (25) by using one 6V-8214 Bolt (30), one 9X-8256 Washer (31), and one 3C-3681 Nut (32). Repeat for the other bracket (25) .
Install one bracket (25) to the engine oil pan by placing one 3E-4352 Hard Washer (26) between the engine oil pan and bracket (25). Then, secure the bracket to the engine oil pan with one 8T-5093 Locking Bolt (27) and one 8T-4224 Hard Washer (28). Repeat for the other bracket (25) .

Connect hose assembly (B) or hose assembly (C) to elbow (20) connected to the engine drain valve.

Open engine drain valve (47). Secure the engine drain valve in the OPEN position with a cable strap.Note: The engine drain valve must be in the OPEN position before attempting to use the remote drain.
