PROBLEM
High frequency vibration (creating a whistle noise), emitted by the boom lowering check valve main poppet may occur on certain 319D Excavators. The boom lowering check valve may be noisy when the boom is down. The problem varies depending on the machine application, with stick fully out, and/or with a heavy load in bucket. The noise appears at 40 degrees Celsius in boom float mode and at 50 degrees Celsius in standard mode.

ACTION REQUIRED
1. Replace the original 310-8827 Inner Poppet (change 00) of each boom lowering check valve by a 310-8827 Inner Poppet (change 01).
2. Replace the 8J-6815 Plug (Orifice Diameter 0.78) (A) by a new 4T-4207 Plug (Orifice Diameter 1.2).
B - Engineering change was done on poppet to reduce outside diameter.
