Operating Single-Acting Cylinders
A single-acting cylinder will typically have only one hose that needs to be connected. Connect the hose to the left side of a coupler "+" that is on the desired circuit. In order to extend the cylinder, pull the control lever in the rearward direction to the EXTEND position. In order to retract the cylinder, push the lever fully forward to the FLOAT position. The lever will not automatically return to the HOLD position when the cylinder reaches the end of the stroke.Note: Always use the FLOAT position to retract a single-acting cylinder. The RETRACT position is only for double acting cylinders.Operating Double Acting Cylinders
Connect the pressure hose from the double acting cylinder to a left side coupler "+" on the circuit that is desired. Connect the return hose to the right side coupler "-" of the same circuit. In order to extend the cylinder, pull the corresponding implement control lever to the EXTEND position. In order to retract the cylinder, push the lever to the RETRACT position.Pushing the lever fully forward will select the FLOAT position. The FLOAT position will allow the cylinder to freely extend. Also, the FLOAT position will allow the cylinder to freely retract. The FLOAT position is useful when you operate equipment such as scraper blades and loaders.Purging Air From Remote Cylinders
Prior to using, bleed any trapped air that is in a cylinder. A cylinder that is new may require the air to be purged. In order to purge the air, connect the hoses to the machine. Position the cylinder with the hoses in the UP position. Extend and retract the cylinder 7 or 8 times. Check the hydraulic oil level of the machine before operating the cylinder and after operating the cylinder.Operating Hydraulic Motors

If the HOLD position is used to stop the motor, damage to the motor and related hydraulic components can occur, due to the HOLD circuit creating a hydraulic lock effect, forcing the hydraulic motor to stop suddenly.
Hydraulic motors generally should be connected to the #1 implement control valve. Connect the pressure hose to the right side coupler "-". Connect the return hose to the left coupler "+". The left coupler "+" is a return circuit for low pressure. The #1 implement control valve has priority over the remaining valves. The priority will ensure a constant flow of oil to the motor.Use the corresponding flow control in order to regulate the speed of the motor. This will ensure that the hydraulic system will only supply the oil that is required by the motor. Extra pump capacity will not be used except when other remote valve sections are operated.Prior to starting the engine, push the lever fully forward into the FLOAT position. Lock out the HOLD and EXTEND position by fully rotating the rotary lever locking device in the counterclockwise direction. The FLOAT position is used as the OFF control for the motor. The RETRACT position engages the motor. Using the FLOAT position to stop the motor will allow the motor
