Remove the right side engine enclosure.
Ensure that the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) for the system is contained during the performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, or repair. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.Note: Ensure that the purging process for the DEF system has completed before turning the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery Disconnect Switch" for further information.

Ensure that the area around DEF injector (5) is clean and free of dirt and debris. If necessary, clean the area around DEF injector (5) with Tooling (B).
Disconnect harness assembly (6). Use Tooling (A) to cap harness assembly (6) and DEF injector (5).
Disconnect hose assembly (3) and hose assembly (1). Use Tooling (A) to cap hose assembly (3) and hose assembly (1).
Make temporary marks on DEF injector (5) and clean emissions module (7).
Loosen bolt (4) for the clamp. Remove DEF injector (5) and the clamp from clean emissions module (7).
Remove gasket (2) (not shown).Installation Procedure
Install DEF injector (5) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten bolt (4) on the clamp to a torque of 4 N m (35 lb in).Note: Ensure that the clamp and the DEF injector remain in the proper location and are correctly seated on the clean emissions module.
