Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the mounting bracket. Refer to the Service Manual, "Mounting Bracket - Remove and Install".

If the hammer is equipped with a gable plate, remove twenty bolts (5) in order to remove gable plate (1). Use a suitable lifting device in order to remove the gable plate. The weight of the gable plate is 358 kg (789 lb).
Remove top plate (2). Use a suitable lifting device in order to remove the top plate. The weight of the top plate is 39 kg (86 lb).
Remove six buffers (3) by hand from bottom plate (4). Installation Procedure

Install six buffers (3) by hand onto the bottom plate (4).
Install top plate (2) onto buffers (3). Use a suitable lifting device in order to lift the top plate. The weight of the top plate is 39 kg (86 lb).
If the hammer is equipped with a gable plate, install gable plate (1). Use a suitable lifting device in order to lift the gable plate. The weight of the gable plate is 358 kg (789 lb).
Install twenty bolts (5) that secure gable plate (1) to the housing of the hammer. Tighten the bolts to a torque value of 3000 200 N m (2213 148 lb ft). End By:
