Removal Procedure
Start By:
Install the truck body retaining cable. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Truck Body Retaining Cable - Remove and Install".

Remove clamp (3) from muffler (2) .
Use a suitable lifting device to support muffler (2). Muffler (2) weighs approximately 55 kg (121.3 lb).
Remove two straps (1) and muffler (2) .
Use a suitable lifting device to support muffler (4). Muffler (4) weighs approximately 55 kg (121.3 lb).
Remove clamp (5) that holds muffler (4) to the tube assembly.
Remove the bolts that hold strap (6) to the platform. Remove muffler (4) .Installation Procedure

Use a suitable lifting device to support muffler (4). Muffler (4) weighs approximately 55 kg (121.3 lb).
Install muffler (4). Install the bolts that hold strap (6) to the platform.
Install clamp (5) that holds muffler (4) to the tube assembly.
Use a suitable lifting device to support muffler (2). Muffler (2) weighs approximately 55 kg (121.3 lb).
Install muffler (2) and two straps (1) .Note: During installation, tighten two straps (1) to a torque of 25 7 N m (18.4 5.2 lb ft).
Install clamp (3) on muffler (2) .End By: Remove the truck body retaining cable. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Truck Body Retaining Cable - Remove and Install".
