Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Control Valve (Transmission Clutch Latching) - Remove".Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before you begin the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the components should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism. Precision components can be damaged by contaminants or by dirt. Perform disassembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected at all times.

Remove bolts (1) and the washers in order to separate valve body (2) from valve body (4). Remove O-ring seal (3) .

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Remove plug (7) and the O-ring seal from valve body (4). Remove spring (6) and spool (5) from valve body (4) .
Repeat Step 2 for the other two valve assemblies.

Remove plug (8) and the O-ring seal from valve body (4). Remove spring (11), spring (9), pin (12), piston (13), and spacer (10) from valve body (4) .
Repeat Step 4 for the other valve assembly.

Remove valve assembly (14) from valve body (2). Remove O-ring seals (15) and the backer rings from valve assembly (14) .

Remove bolt (18) and retainer (17) in order to remove solenoid valve (16) from valve body (2) .

Remove O-ring seals (19), O-ring seal (20), and O-ring seal (21) from solenoid valve (16) .
