In order to allow equitable parts availability to all participating dealers, please limit your initial parts order to not exceed 45% of dealership population. This is an initial order recommendation only, and the ultimate responsibility for ordering the total number of parts needed to satisfy the program lies with the dealer.
ACTION REQUIRED
A new Product Link Operation and Maintenance Manual need to be ordered and sent to the customer to be installed in the machine.
Instructions:
1. Order the new OMM from the Caterpillar Media Ordering System in your required language. Refer to the Media Number list below for the languages available. Your parts department should be able to do this for you.
2. Mail the new OMM to the customer, with tracking information, with instructions to place the new Product Link OMM in the machine, and to discard the old Product Link OMM. Please make every effort to deal with this issue by registered mail.
3. Claim as per the allowances section.
4. When entering the PIP completion in SIMSi, type the tracking information in the comment field.

The Caterpillar Product Link Operation and Maintenance Manual needs to be replaced/installed on the products listed below. The existing manual does not include certain important information even though the Product Link Equipment itself meets all the regulatory requirements. A new manual will be posted to you to install in your machine. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Cat dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
If you are no longer the owner of this product(s), please contact your local Cat dealer so that our records can be updated. Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 10Nov2017 when scheduling this service.
