Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.

Attach Tooling (A) to hood (1) in order to support hood (1) .

Raise hood assembly (1) with hydraulic cylinder (3) and support hood assembly (1) with the suitable lifting device and Tooling (A) .
Disconnect hose assemblies (4) from hydraulic cylinder (3) .
Remove the cotter pin and pin assembly (2) from both ends of hydraulic cylinder (3) and remove hydraulic cylinder (3) .Installation Procedure

Install hydraulic cylinder (3). Install pin assemblies (2) and the cotter pins on both ends of hydraulic cylinder (3) .
Connect hose assemblies (4) to hydraulic cylinder (3) .

Lower the suitable lifting device and hood assembly (1). Remove Tooling (A) from hood assembly (1) .
