Inspect
Park the machine on level ground. Lower the bucket to the ground. Move the transmission control switch to the NEUTRAL position and engage the parking brake. Shut off the engine.

The belt is located on the right side of the machine.
Open the grill assembly on the right side of the machine and remove the engine access covers in order to gain access to the belt.

(A) New belt
(B) Worn belt
Inspect the condition of the serpentine belt (1). Over time the belt ribs will lose material (C). The space between the ribs will increase (D). The loss of material will cause the pulley sheave to contact the belt valley. This will lead to belt slippage and accelerated wear (E). Replace the belt if the belt is worn or frayed.Note: If a new belt is installed, recheck the belt adjustment after 30 minutes of operation.Note: This machine is equipped with a belt tensioner (2). The belt tensioner automatically adjusts the belt to the correct position.
Install the engine access covers and close the grill assembly.Replace
Replace the belt if any of the following conditions exist:
Excessive cracking
Excessive wear
Excessive damage
Park the machine on level ground. Lower the bucket to the ground. Move the transmission control switch to the NEUTRAL position and engage the parking brake. Shut off the engine.
The battery disconnect switch is located on the control panel on the left side of the rear bumper. Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Open the grill assembly on the right side of the machine.
Remove the engine access covers in order to gain access to the belt.
Release the tension on the serpentine belt (1). Insert a ratchet into the square hole in the belt tensioner and rotate the belt tensioner in a clockwise direction.
Remove the belt.
Install a new belt.
When you release the tension off the belt tensioner, the belt will automatically adjust to the correct position. Recheck the belt tension.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the ON position.
Install the engine access covers and close the grill assembly.
