Remove bolts (2) that hold valve mechanism cover (3) to the valve cover base. Remove valve mechanism cover (3). Installation Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Tightening sequence
Position valve mechanism cover (3) on the valve mechanism cover base. Install bolts (2). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 18 3 N m (13 2 lb ft) in the numerical sequence that is shown in Illustration 3.
Install breather tube (1) to valve mechanism cover (3).
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
