Refer to the below illustration and remove theold type hood actuator (A), bracket (B) and pins/bolt/ washer (C).
Retain the four bolts/washers whichfix the bracket to the chassis, retain one of the pins/bolt washer (C)and retain the hood guide which is fixed to the old bracket (B).
Refer to the below illustration and install thenew bracket (D) to the front chassis using the existing bolts/washers.Tighten the bolts to a torque setting of 100 +/- 20Nm (74 +/- 15lb/ft).
Install the hood guide onto the new bracket (D)which was installed in Step 2 BUT DO NOT tighten up.
Refer to the below illustration and install thenew hood actuator (E) to the new bracket (D) using bolt (8T-4648), washers(8T-4223) and nut (6V-7687). Tighten the bolt/nut to a torque setting of100 +/- 20 Nm (74 +/- 15 lb/ft).
Refer to the below illustration and install theTube- adapter (F) to the rod end of the actuator (E) using bolt (8T-4648),washers (8T-4223) and nut (8T-4244). Tighten the bolt/nut to a torque settingof 100 +/- 20 Nm (74 +/- 15 lb/ft).
Install the tube-adapter to the hood, use theexisting pin/bolt washer (C) that was removed in step 1. Tighten the boltto a torque setting of 12 +/- 3 Nm (9 +/- 2 lb/ft).
Connect the hood actuator harness to the chassisharness and operate the actuator.
Bring the hood down until it is touching the hoodguide. Align the hood guide with the hood and tighten the hood guide nut.
