The lift line relief pressure is set higher than the main relief pressure. Do not increase the main relief pressure setting in order to check the lift line relief pressure setting. Damage to the hydraulic system may occur.

Rod End Line Relief Valve for the Lift Cylinder
The lift pressure for the rod end line relief valve for the 834H Wheel Dozer and the 836H Landfill Compactor is set higher than the main relief valve. No adjustments for the rod end line relief valve can be made in this case. If the lift function of the cylinder is slow, then perform the following tests. Also, if the lift function does not respond to the control levers perform the following tests.
Ensure that there is a signal voltage at the lift solenoid assembly. Ensure that the lift solenoid assembly is operational.
Ensure that the work tool can be lowered.
Check that the lift cylinder does not drift.
Ensure that the main relief valve is adjusted properly.
Ensure that the tip and tilt cylinder are operational.If the above items are functioning properly, then replace rod end line relief valve (5) for the 834H Wheel Dozer. If the above items are functioning properly, then replace rod end line relief valve (6) for the 836H Landfill Compactor.Line Relief Valves for the Tip and Tilt Cylinders (834H Wheel Dozer)
Connect the steering frame lock.
Start the machine.
Lower the work tool to the ground.
Stop the engine.

(8) Pressure tap for line relief pressure
Connect test gauge (B) to test gauge hose (A). Install test gauge hose (A) on pressure tap (7).
Start the engine. Increase the engine speed to high idle. In order to increase the temperature of the hydraulic oil to normal operating temperature, operate the implement control levers.
