--------------- END SUPPLEMENT ---------------New turbocharger cleaner groups are now available for the above engines. The cleaner groups are compatible with the hydraulic actuator systems on the above engines. These cleaner groups are NOT compatible with Heinzmann actuators:
* The 159-8837 Turbocharger Cleaner Group is for use with the G3606 and G3608 Engines.* The 159-1112 Turbocharger Cleaner Group is for use with the G3612 and G3616 Engines. The 159-1112 Turbocharger Cleaner Group replaces the former 120-8155 Turbocharger Cleaner Group.Instead of water, dry solid particles are used for cleaning. The particles are blown by compressed air into the exhaust manifolds before the turbocharger gas inlet. The mechanical cleaning effect helps prevent deposits from accumulating on the nozzle vanes and the turbine blades.
The cleaner groups include all of the components that are necessary for mounting of the group, containing the particles, and conveying the particles into the exhaust stream. A customer connection for pressure air is also provided.
To help prevent build-up of deposits, the use of the dry cleaning method is recommended on a daily basis.
