(2) Flow divider valveFlow divider valve (2) is under the operator platform. The deck plates can be removed to provide access to this manifold.When the traction control system is enabled, flow divider valve (2) ensures equal flow of hydraulic oil to each of the four propel motors. This feature reduces the ability of any propel motor to slip out in the event of a loss of traction with the ground. When active, this feature may increase hydraulic pressures and limit the ability to steer.The flow divider valve is equipped with four line relief and makeup valves. Hydraulic flow through these valves is controlled by the flow divider control spool. The position of the control spool is determined by traction control solenoid (1). This solenoid is controlled by the transmission ECM.The line relief valves direct pressure surges in the motor supply lines into the charge circuit. If the pressure in any of the supply lines falls below charge pressure, the makeup section of the valve opens, and charge oil is directed into the supply line.When the machine is operating in forward, an equal amount of flow is directed through the line relief valves to each propel motor. When the machine is operating in reverse, equal back pressure is created at each propel motor. In either direction of travel, the flow divider valve helps to prevent loss of traction.
