This Program can be administered either before or after a failure. In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS4146" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "T" as the SIMS Description Code. If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.

Hatz Diesel has advised that there is a risk of oil plugs coming loose and allowing oil leakage from the main oil ways in the engine block on their 2M40 Engine used in certain CB214C, CB224C, and CB225C Compactors. Hatz has produced a Support which can be installed to secure the plugs.

Action Required
The Support needs to be installed on the right hand side of the top of the cylinder block. To gain access to this area of the engine, the two plates that cover the fuel filter element and fuel injectors must be removed. The suspect oil plugs are located 1) on the top surface of the cylinder block, near the front of the engine, and 2) on the front face of the cylinder block, at the top, just behind the blower ring. Position the retaining support over these two plugs and install the bolt in the threaded hole on the cylinder block face. During tightening, insert a suitable tool between the blower ring and the support to push the support towards the cylinder block.
