To improve the efficiency of the operation, the maximum rpm of the feeder augers should be calibrated to a specified value. This information supersedes the section in Service Manual, KENR2861, "Left and Right Auger Maximum Speed Calibrations". The calibrations are now available for the 3 m (10 ft) machines that are equipped with electronic control systems. Set the auger speed of the asphalt pavers that have a width of 3 m (10 ft) to a maximum of 120 RPM. Set the auger speed of the asphalt pavers that have a width of 2.4 m (8 ft) to a maximum of 108 RPM. The same values are printed on the Propel/Feeder ECM Decal on all machines. The preferences of the operators should be considered when you make adjustments. Certain job applications may require slightly higher settings.
