Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the cooling system coolant into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".

Remove grill assemblies (1) .

Disconnect clip (3) and harness assembly (4).

Remove clips (6) from support (5).

Remove bolts (7). Remove bolts (8). Use two people to remove support (5). The weight of support (5) is approximately 31 kg (70 lb).
