Procedure To Adapt Orifice To 9J8067 Bulldozer Control Valve
1. Inspect the tractor for common causes of vibration to determine if modification of the quick-drop valve is needed.2. If modification of the valve is needed, remove the hood to obtain access to the valve.3. Create a vacuum in the hydraulic tank to prevent oil leakage.4. Remove the 9J8067 Bulldozer Control Valve from the tractor. Remove the 9J8063 Cover from the valve group.
Location of orifice in quick-drop valve.5. With a 1/4"-28 tap, tap the opening of the small oil passage (see illustration) to a depth of 12.95 mm (.510"). Make sure all debris is removed from the passage and valve body.6. Drill a hole 1.90 mm (.075") in diameter through the center of a 3B9191 Setscrew.7. Install the modified setscrew in the tapped oil passage and install the 9J8063 Cover on the quick-drop valve. Install the valve on the tractor.8. Remove the vacuum from the hydraulic tank and install the hood on the tractor.
