Disconnect two hose assemblies (9) from the hydraulic cylinder.

Attach a suitable lifting device to left extender assembly (10). The weight of left extender assembly (10) is approximately 862 kg (1900 lb). Note: The weight of the right extender assembly is approximately 998 kg (2200 lb).

Remove bolt (12), the washers, and nut (11).

Remove bolt (15), the washers, and nut (13).
Remove the locking key and pin assembly (14).

Bend locking tabs on lock ring (16) to release two castle nuts (17).
Remove two castle nuts (17) and lock ring (16) from the pin assembly.
Remove the hydraulic cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic Cylinder (Extender Extend) - Remove and Install".
Remove the pin assembly.

Slide slope box (18) to the center of tube (19) and tube (20).
Attach a suitable lifting device to slope box (18). The weight of slope box (18), tube (19), and tube (20) is approximately 272 kg (600 lb).

Remove eight bolts (21) and eight bolts (22).
Remove slope box (18), tube (19), tube (20), and the shims (if equipped) as a unit.

Remove tube (19) from slope box (18). The weight of tube (19) is approximately 54 kg (120 lb).
Remove tube (20) from slope box (18). The weight of tube (20) is approximately 41 kg (90 lb).

Remove the retaining ring and bearing sleeve (23) from slope box (18). Installation Procedure

Install slope box (18) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (A) to the pin assembly.
Install two castle nuts (17) and lock ring (16) to the pin assembly. Tighten two castle nuts (17) to a torque of 967 97 N m (713 72 lb ft).
Bend the appropriate locking tabs on lock ring (16) to secure two castle nuts (17).
Use Tool (B) and a torque wrench to tighten harness assembly (1). Tighten harness assemblies (1) to a torque of 10.5 0.3 N m (93 3 lb in).
Use Tool (D) to install Tool (C) in order to secure harness assemblies (1). End By:
Install the deflectors. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Deflectors Plates (Strike-off) - Remove and Install".
Install the drop arm. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drop Arm - Remove and Install".
Install the walkway. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Walkway - Remove and Install".
Install the end gate. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "End Gate - Remove and Install".
Install the screed. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Screed - Remove and Install".
