Problem
The cooling system capacity may not be sufficient on certain D20D and D250D Articulated Trucks. In applications where high engine operating temperatures are a problem or if there have been any engine failures that are thought to be related to high engine temperatures this program should be implemented.

Attach.(1-Rework Procedure)Rework Procedure
1. Remove the existing fan and install the new fan (16). To make removal of the fan from the shroud easier, remove both fan guards and the adaptor between the fan and pulley. When installing the new fan, it may be easier to first assemble the fan to the adaptor before assembling the adaptor to the pulley, due to the small gaps between the blades on the 8-blade fan.
2. Remove the 8 bolts and nuts securing the air cleaner and remove the air cleaner.3. Mark the locations for the 3 holes to be drilled in the air cleaner bracket (See Illustration 1). Drill three 12.7 mm diameter holes.4. Cut the seal (6) to a length of 460 10 mm and assemble the seal to the bracket assembly (15) using the clamps (11), bolts (4), washers (10), and nuts (1). Compress the clamps around the lip of the seal to secure it. Cut the seal (8) to a length of 150 10 mm and assemble the seal to the bracket assembly (15). Install the bracket assembly on the air cleaner bracket using the bolts (2) and washers (5) as shown in Illustration 2. To make the installation of the bracket assembly (15) easier, the engine coolant recovery tank can be unbolted and set aside for additional clearance.
5. Assemble the bracket assembly (14) to the air cleaner bracket using the bolt (2) and washer (5) as shown in Illustration 2.6. Remove the existing door stop bracket. Install the new bracket (12). Reuse the existing rubber stop on the new bracket. (See Illustration 3)7. Cut the seal (8) to fit the cover (13) on the sides between point A and point B as shown in Illustration 3. Install the new cover in place of the existing cover using the existing fasteners and the bolt (3) and washers (5).8. Install the air cleaner using a new gasket (9). Be sure to remove all of the old gasket before
