2. Remove access panel (1). 3. Loosen the two hose clamps, and remove inlet hose assembly (2). 4. Loosen two bolts (3).5. Remove clamp (4).6. Slide exhaust pipe (5) off of the turbine housing of turbocharger (6). Remove the O-ring seal from the turbine housing. 7. Loosen the two clamps, and slide hose assembly (9) off of the compressor housing of turbocharger (6).8. Remove oil supply tube assembly (8) and the gasket.9. Remove oil drain tube assembly (12) and the gaskets.10. Remove four nuts (7), turbocharger (6) and the gasket from the exhaust manifold.11. Loosen clamp (11), and remove turbine housing (10) from the cartridge group.12. Remove six bolts (13) and compressor housing (14) from the cartridge group. The following steps are for the installation of the turbocharger.13. Position compressor housing (14) and turbine housing (10) on the cartridge group. Install six bolts (13) which hold the compressor housing in position. Tighten the six bolts to a torque of 7.3 0.5 N m (65 5 lb in). Tighten clamp (11) that holds turbine housing (10) in position to a torque of 6 1 N m (53.4 8.9 lb in). Tap the clamp all around, and re-tighten it to a torque of 6 1 N m (53.4 8.9 lb in).14. Check the condition of the gasket used between the turbocharger and the exhaust manifold. If the gasket is damaged, use a new part for replacement.15. Apply 5P3931 Anti-Seize Compound on the threads of the turbocharger mounting studs.16. Put the gasket and turbocharger (6) in position on the exhaust manifold. Install four nuts (7) that hold it. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 54 5 N m (40 4 lb ft).17. Check the condition of the gaskets used with oil drain tube assembly (12). If the gaskets are damaged, use new parts for replacement. Install the gaskets and oil drain tube assembly (12).18. Check the condition of the gasket used with oil supply tube assembly (8). If the gasket is damaged, use a new part for replacement. Install the gasket and oil supply tube assembly (8).19. Slide hose assembly (9) onto the compressor housing. Tighten the two clamps that hold it.20. Check the condition of the O-ring seal used on the turbine housing. If the seal is damaged, use a new part for replacement. Install the O-ring seal on the turbine housing. Slide exhaust pipe (5) on the turbine housing. Install clamp (4). Tighten two bolts (3) on the clamp that holds the exhaust pipe to the muffler.21. Install inlet hose assembly (2). Tighten the two clamps that hold it.22. Install access panel (1).
