19. The procedure for connecting the equalizer bar to the track roller frame on later machines is as follows:a. Align the holes in the track roller frame and the hole in the equalizer bar with tool (C).b. Put pin (11) in position on the track roller frame.c. Install the bolts and nuts (10). Tighten the bolts to a torque of 1350 150 N m (1000 110 lb.ft.).
Earlier Machine20. The procedure for connecting the equalizer bar to the track roller frame for earlier machines is as follows:a. Put the track roller frame in position on the equalizer bar with tooling (C).b. Install caps (9) and bolts (7).c. Tighten the inner cap bolts to a torque of 70 N m (50 lb.ft.).d. Tighten the outer cap bolts to a torque of 270 N m (200 lb.ft.).e. Check the gap between caps (9) and the track roller frame with feeler gauge (24). The gap must be approximately the same on each side of the pin.f. Tighten the bolts an additional 60°.

Start By:a. remove track roller framesb. remove idlers (Earlier or Later) 1. Fasten a hoist to track roller (3). Remove four bolts (1) and caps (2) that hold the track roller to the minor bogie. Remove track roller (3). The weight of a single flanged track roller is approximately 113 Kg (250 lb.). The weight of a double flanged track roller is approximately 122 Kg (270 lb.). Remove all the track rollers from the minor bogies. 2. Remove bolts (5) and track guides (4) from the major bogies. There will be a loss of oil when the plugs and stoppers are removed.3. Use a drill and remove plug (6) and stopper (8) from each end of cartridge pin (7). 4. Put tooling (A) in position on the major bogie and fasten a hoist to tooling (A). Remove cartridge pin (7) that hold the minor bogie to the major bogie.5. Remove minor bogie (9) from the major bogie. 6. Install tooling (B) between the inside of the track roller frame and the major bogie. This will prevent movement of the inside of the track roller frame and make it easier to remove the cartridge pins. 7. Use tool (C) and remove retaining ring (10) from each side of the track roller frame. 8. Install a 5/8" - NC forged eyebolt (12) in plate (11) and remove plate (11) from each side of the track roller frame. There will be a loss of oil when the plugs and stoppers are removed. 9. Use a drill and remove plugs (13) and stoppers (14) from each end of cartridge pins (15). Remove plugs (16) from each side of the track roller frame. 10. Fasten a hoist
