Loosen the track. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Track - Check/Adjust".

Raise the blade in order to allow clearance for separating the track. Place the blade onto Tooling (A).

Move track (5) until master link (4) is aligned with the centerline of rear idler (1). Place suitable cribbing under the grouser below master link (4). Move track (5) rearward until track (5) is firmly against the suitable cribbing.
Remove bolts (3). Use two people in order to remove master shoe (2). The weight of master shoe (2) is approximately 20 kg (45 lb) to 40 kg (85 lb).

Separate master link (4).
Personal injury can result from the track coming off of the roller frame.The track can move off the track roller frame very quickly when a separation of the track is made.Keep away from the front of the machine when the track is removed from the track roller frame.

Raise the side of the machine that has the track that is being removed.
Attach a suitable lifting device to the end of track (5). The weight of track (5) is approximately 1680 kg (3700 lb) to 2600 kg (5750 lb). Turn the final drive of the track that is being separated in the forward direction. Use the suitable lifting device in order to support track (5) when track (5) is separated. Note: Permit track (5) to fall forward.
