Procedure To Remove Gear From The Main Housing
1. Manufacture two stop blocks from round bar stock. The dimensions are shown in the illustration. Keep the end cuts square and remove all burrs.
Stop Block (A) 15.0 3.0 mm (.59 .12 in) Dia. (B) 100.0 3.0 mm (3.93 .12 in).2. Procure two M30 x 3.5 mm forcing screws.3. Place one stop block into each of the two M30 x 3.5 mm tapped holes to provide a stop for the forcing screws and prevent damage to the threads of the tapped holes in the main housing.4. Install two M30 x 3.5 mm forcing screws in the gear. Tighten the forcing screws evenly to loosen the gear from the dowel pins in the main housing. The stop blocks will be located inside the tapped holes of the housing after the gear and the housing are separated.5. Remove the stop blocks and retain them for future use.
