Clean the joint face on front housing (6) with Tooling (A).
Apply Tooling (B) to the joint face. Allow the primer to dry for at least 3 to 5 minutes. Note: Ensure that the groove for the oil supply is not blocked by excess sealant.
Apply Tooling (C) in a bead with a width of 3.0 0.5 mm (0.12 0.02 inch) to the joint face. Refer to Illustration 2. Spread the sealant uniformly. Front housing (6) must be installed within 10 minutes of applying the sealant.
Position front housing (6) on the cylinder block.

Install bolts (3). Install bolts (4) and (5).

Position engine mount (2) and install bolts (1). End By:
Install the camshaft.
Install the crankshaft front seal.
Install the vibration damper and the pulley.
